Presenting the FUTURAILDriver
Meet the team and our technology. A walk through the full stack — perception and precise localization — on the demonstration hardware on the booth.
Futurail is a European deep-tech company developing autonomous driving technology for trains. Its FUTURAILDriver platform combines perception, precise localization and train control to enable autonomous operation on existing and new railway vehicles.
We will be showing our system running live on the booth at all times. We also run structured presentations alongside the demos at 12:00 and 15:00, every day — book your slot now.
We're excited to show you our newest technology, and to bring some of our customers along too. Expect multiple demos, speaker slots, a booth party, and plenty of good conversation about rail.

Together with S-Bahn Munich, we are running three demos, broadcast live from a commuter train in a depot in Munich to the booth in Berlin. See the technology in action, on a real use case.

Zwiehoff, based in Rosenheim, builds road-rail vehicles, used for shunting, maintenance and rescue work. We have installed our system on one of their vehicles, and it is on demonstration at their booth in the outdoor area throughout the show. We are also running a joint Zwiehoff × Futurail presentation on the partnership, confirmed for Wednesday at 14:00.

Julien Rat, Head of Rail Division at Lohr, joins us at the booth for a session on Draisy, the very light battery railcar developed by Lohr with SNCF to revive France's rural lines. Together with Alex, we will present the progress on CESAM, where Lohr, Futurail and the universities of Lorraine and Haute-Alsace are building automated ground-based charging for the Draisy vehicle.

Beers from France and Bavaria are back on the booth. No sign-up needed, just come by and enjoy a chill evening with the team! Our demo will keep running through the evening, so we'll be showing our products and talking about the thing that brings us all together: rail.
Autonomous Trains: Progress Doesn't Stop When the Hype Does
Alex is speaking at the Business France booth on what happens to a technology after the hype passes. Autonomous rail sits squarely in the trough of disillusionment, which is usually where the real work starts — and the reasons for the original excitement, capacity, safety and energy efficiency, have not gone anywhere.
Flash-forward: Start-ups in rail, breaking through technologies
A session at the European booth, hosted by the European Commission, the European Union Agency for Railways and Europe's Rail. Alex joins a panel of rail start-ups on what young companies contribute to the rail ecosystem, and what it takes to deliver real services to the sector.
